za moimi oczami rośnie las zamglony
wrastający mi w duszę plątawą korzeni
za twoimi oczami czuby czarnych jodeł
na ostrzach niosą niebo od śmierci do śmierci
a nasze słowa tylko szepty w drzewach
we mnie olchy w półcieniach letniego przedświtu
jak długonogie ptaki brodzą w ciemnej wodzie
w tobie cisza śmiertelna spowija korzenie
w śnie bez snów więzi życie zamknięte pod lodem
a nasze myśli ciche drzew westchnienia
palce moich jesionów splatają się w łuki
ponad wrotami łąki drżącej od nadmiaru
twoje dostojne buki stoją nieruchome
smukłe srebra kolumny pod bieli ciężarem
lecz w każdym nich zielony sok
lat i zim niesie w sobie brzemię

The fingers of my ashes entwine into arches
Over the gate of a meadow brimming with abundance
Your majestic beeches stand still
Slender silver columns under the burden of white
But in each of them green sap
